If you fulfill the following requirements you can apply to become part of Joel’s Place AmeriCorps Seasons of Service:

• 16 or 17 and live in the local Fairbanks area

• 18-25

• available for service September 8 through december 4, 2009

• a United States citizen

• have obtained a high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent, OR will work towards getting the degree during service and before receiving the Education Award.

• willing to submit to a background check

• value a healthy life style

• like to help others 

• can provide two references

If you are 18-25 and don’t live in Fairbanks, Alaska, you will also need to arrange a host family to stay with or arrange other living accommodations in town. Check in with us as we might have some possible host families. There are also local camping possibilities.
