If you left high school before finishing and you’ve thought about getting a GED or equivalent, Seasons of Service is the place for you. Members can use up to 20% of their service time working toward completing their GED. Members still receive the same cost of living stipend, and when they complete all their hours of service (education time is part of that) they earn the Education Award, even though they may not have finished high school yet. JPSOS AmeriCorps only asks that Members agree to be working towards the completion of a GED, or equivalent. You have to get your diploma or GED prior to using your Education Award.
